Features

Zealots of Thessalonica

Play as the historical 14th-century revolutionary commune! Spawns during Byzantine succession crisis with 5 unique paths:

  • Empire of Thessalonica – Restore Byzantine glory with imperial legitimacy
  • Thessaloniki Commune – Revolutionary republic with class solidarity
  • Free City of Thessalonica – Merchant republic focused on trade
  • Order of St. Demetrius – Holy military order of warrior monks
  • Zealot Brotherhood – Theocratic state of spiritual purity

Hesychasm Mechanics

Decide the fate of Gregory Palamas and shape Orthodox theology:

  • Execute, imprison, release, or use him as leverage

Servetism Religion

Back From The Dead – Dynasty Restorations

Restore fallen dynasties and rename your empire! Place pretenders on the throne and revive historical empires:

Original Dynasties:

  • Sassanid Empire – Restore Zoroastrian Persia with Bavand or Baduspanid rulers
  • Ayyubid Sultanate – Revive Saladin’s legacy in Kurdistan
  • Abbasid Caliphate – Reclaim the Commander of the Faithful title from Baghdad

New Islamic Dynasties (with country rename):

  • Seljuk Sultanate – Form Rûm with a Seljuk ruler to restore the Great Seljuk legacy
  • Almohad Caliphate – Control Morocco and Marrakesh with an Almohad to revive the Muwahhidun
  • Khwarazmian Empire – Form Persia and hold Urgench to restore the Silk Road masters
  • Fatimid Caliphate – Rule Egypt as Shia with a Fatimid to restore the Ismaili state

Each restoration unlocks unique government reforms and 15 dynasty-specific advances!
