Duck’s Cursed Weapons(v1.5.2)
Duck’s Cursed Weapons is a gameplay mod that provides a blessing and curse system. Players can remove curses and acquire/strengthen powerful blessings by achieving kill counts or defeating bosses.
The mod provides 6 types of elemental blessings and curses:
- 🔥 Fire: Increases/decreases weapon attack power
- ☠️ Poison: Increases/decreases weapon range
- ⚡ Electric: Increases/decreases bullet speed
- 🌌 Space: Increases/decreases headshot multiplier
- 💪 Physical: Increases/decreases armor piercing
- ❄️ Ice: Increases/decreases reload speed
Each element consists of 3 levels of blessings (I, II, III) and 3 levels of curses (I, II, III).
There are separate blessings and curses for each of the 6 gun types (SHT, AR, SNP, BR, PST, SMG).
When you acquire Blessing III for each gun type, you can obtain special buffs for that gun type.
Special Buffs by Gun Type:
- PST (Pistol) – Combat Expert: Damage +50%, Aim Time -50%, Magazine +200%, Movement Speed +50%
- SHT (Shotgun) – Last Bullet: Damage increases as magazine decreases (max +100%)
- AR (Assault Rifle) – Sustained Fire: Damage accumulates on consecutive hits (+6% per stack, max 6 stacks, +36%), Recoil reduction (stack -3%, max -18%)
- BR (Battle Rifle) – Mid-Range Suppression: Damage accumulates on consecutive hits (+3% per stack, max 10 stacks, +30%)
- SMG (Submachine Gun) – Rapid Fire: Damage accumulates on consecutive hits (+2% per stack, max 20 stacks, +40%)
- SNP (Sniper) – Sniper Expert: Headshot damage +300%, Weapon noise -90%, Aim time -50% (Cooldown 5 seconds)
When entering a map (except the base), blessings and curses are applied based on the player’s equipped weapons.
- When entering a map, curses and blessings are randomly applied to the equipped gun type
- If no weapon is equipped, blessings are applied to a random gun type
- Returning to base resets all buffs (blessings/curses) and kill count
- Entering a new map applies curses and blessings randomly again
- Warning: Eternal Mode is an experimental mode and may contain bugs. If you encounter issues during gameplay, please leave feedback in the bug discussion section.
- Curses and blessings are permanently maintained
- Curses and blessings are not removed when returning to base and continue to be maintained
- Each time you enter a combat map from base, you acquire a map-specific number of curses
- Blessings can only be obtained by removing curses (cannot be randomly acquired when entering a map)
- Kill gauge resets each time you enter a map, but blessings and curses are maintained
- On death, all blessings disappear and curse levels decrease proportionally to the lost blessings
- Defeating enemies to fill the kill count randomly removes curses
- When the target kill count is reached, curses weaken progressively, and when completely removed, you have a chance to acquire blessings of that element
- All owned blessings and curses are enhanced or removed simultaneously
- After all curses are removed, you can continue to enhance blessings by achieving the target kill count or defeating bosses
- Same as the base mode, achieving kill count removes curses
- More kill gauge is required to remove curses compared to normal mode
- When curses are removed, you have a chance to acquire blessings, and acquired blessings are permanently maintained
- The blessing enhancement system works the same way, and enhanced blessings are also permanently maintained
- Kill gauge resets each time you enter a map, but blessings acquired through curse removal continue to be maintained
- Some bosses on the map are designated as Blessed Bosses (33% chance)
- Blessed bosses receive Blessing III level for all elements, making them very powerful
- When you defeat a blessed boss:
– 1 random curse is immediately removed
– You acquire a blessing with 100% probability
– Blessed bosses can be very powerful
- Regular bosses randomly receive 2~4 Blessing III levels
- Regular bosses have a chance to remove curses and acquire blessings when defeated
- All bosses that receive blessings have their health increased proportionally to the number of blessings (max 200%)
- The number of blessings is indicated by colors on the ground (number of colors = number of blessings)
- Boss minions randomly acquire one blessing from the 6 elements
You can adjust various options through the in-game settings menu:
- Play Mode Selection: Choose between Random Mode and Eternal Mode
- Difficulty Selection: Choose between Normal, Hard, and Extreme difficulty
- Detailed options can be set for each mode
- Returning to base resets all buffs (blessings/curses) and kill count
- Entering a new map applies curses and blessings randomly again
- Curses and blessings are not removed when returning to base and continue to be maintained
- Only kill count is reset, and blessings and curses carry over to the next map
A kill gauge UI is displayed in the center-right of the screen:
- Gauge Display: The gauge is displayed according to the target kill count for the current map (Lab maps: 5 kills, Other maps: 10 kills)
- Gauge Purpose: Automatically switches between blessing enhancement or curse removal depending on the current state
- Remaining Kills: The remaining kills to the target are displayed at the top
When hovering over items, stat changes due to blessings/curses are displayed:
Remove curses through kill points or regular bosses, and if you’re lucky, use the buffs you can obtain to defeat blessed bosses.
- Add custom items that can remove curses and acquire blessings
- Adjust detailed curse/blessing values by gun type (not sure if needed?)
- Add curse/blessing buffs for melee weapons
Enjoy the game! 🦆
