Survivors – Cyberpunk
In the distant future, a catastrophic economical collapse sent the entire planet into disarray. Many rich people lost their fortune and subsequently took their own lives, some took their whole family down with them.
Out of the ruins, a small handful of prominent families emerged unscathed and flourashing. These families joined together and created a world government, owning law enforcement, banks and everything. These families have ultimately proved corrupt, but none dare openly defy them. many suspect that these families caused the collapse somehow… how else could they emerge unscathed.
The world is governed by businesses, headed by the corrupt CyberCorp, with Bolt Gateway as the undisputed ruler of the planet.
The world’s resources have started dwindling, homelessness, lawlessness and world wide suffering is the worst it has been in human history.
Despite the dire situation, technological advancements have proceeded at an alarming rate. CyberCorp has built the first greater-than-light speed engine. They sent a probe out into the dark void of space and discovered a planet, not unlike Earth. Flourashing with fauna and flora.
The ruling caste has headed up a mission to send pioneers to colonize this new world, paving the way for the world rulers to abandon this dying planet and start a new life.
