Wile.E.Coyote
In his endless pursuit of the Road Runner, the luckless canine/207 IQ Super Genius has somehow found his way to Rivals of Aether!
Wile.E.Coyote is a ‘trapper’ character who is his own worst enemy. Despite good movement and weight, many of his attacks do self damage which shortens his active time in practice, and he has a very high fall speed for the full slapstick comedy effect.
It’s in the name, so you would hope he would have it! If Wile dashes off an edge, he will be able to act as if on the ground for a short period of time. If he is attacking when the time runs out, he will fall only when the current frame resolves, allowing you to cancel the endlag of moves with good timing.
Press down while in Coyote Time to cancel it. It can also be jump cancelled.
Wile makes an ‘instant’ order from ACME, plunging from the sky. Once the catapult is set up, Wile can recast NSpecial to fire it. Or rather, the catapult will launch itself at him!
Inspired from an infamous (to me anyway) enemy from the Game Boy Game Tweety’s High Flying Adventure, Wile throws a beehive at his opponents. When it breaks open, the bee will pursue Wile to the ends of the earth. Only by parrying it, taking the hit or by leading it into someone else will the monster leave you alone.
Wile pulls enemies towards him with a giant magnet. A loopable windbox with a small bit of damage on release. You can’t always rely on your opponents to just walk into whatever is approaching your current position, but clever use of FSpecial’s windbox and you can make the choice for them.
Wile launches himself skywards with dropped explosives. Good luck not dying!
Special thanks to Dopefish for helping with the Neutral Special and Down Special code. All other assets and coding were done by me. If you want to use my stuff for anything… Feel free!
