FarMoreMagicItems
This mod adds a lot of magic items. There are enough of them that you should find new ones even after hundreds of hours of playtime.
- Sprites randomly appear stretched
- Items can get corrupted, turning into blank swords but this is rare
- Resignations sometimes crash the game, error message “str has no function”.
The first two bugs affect all magic item mods, the third one started occurring after 180 items or so. Don’t know what’s going on there but doesn’t affect gameplay otherwise. It’s definitely nothing wrong with the code.
I think the game just can’t handle this many items properly…
By function, there are
- 43 items that summon monsters
- 63 items that cast spells
- 28 items that boost magic
- 116 items with various other effects
By item slot, there are
- 54 Weapons
- 26 Helmets
- 33 Armors
- 23 Gloves
- 22 Boots
- 81 Misc Items
For a total of 239 items! This more than doubles the pool of frequently available items. They’re all set to the most common rarity so you’ll be finding them plenty.
Hint: For the items that cast attack spells at the start of combat, the cast fails if no enemy is in range. So make sure they’re equipped to your frontline.
