Historical Characters & Family Trees (MTU Version)

In the vanilla campaigns (182, 190, 194, and 200), many legendary families are missing their wives, children, or key officers. While the TUP mod fixes this, it is a very large file that changes many other things. This mod extracts the essential historical scripts for spawns, marriages, and family lineages, specifically optimized to work with MTU (Make Them Unique) without the need for TUP.

This mod is a lightweight alternative for players who want a lean but historically accurate experience. It uses clean, optimized scripts to spawn and link characters at the very first tick of the game across all major start dates.

Full Campaign Support:
This mod covers all major historical scenarios:

182 (Mandate of Heaven – dlc04)

190 (Rise of the Warlords – main)

194 (A World Betrayed – dlc05)

200 (Fates Divided – dlc07)

Major Highlights:
The Yuan Unification: Finally links Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu, and Yuan Yi as brothers through their father, Yuan Feng (182/190).

Cao Cao’s Inner Circle: Adds the famous cousins Cao Chun, Cao Hong, and Cao Xiu to the starting roster.

Family Foundations: Sets up historical marriages for Lu Bu (Lady Yan), Gongsun Zan (Song Jinting), or Yuan Shu (Lady Feng), (and others …) to ensure their lineages begin correctly thanks to MTU (notably for 182 start date where some of theses characters doesn’t spawn at all).

The Strategists of Xu: Adds Chen Gui and Chen Deng to Tao Qian’s faction (190).

The Ma Clan: Ensures Ma Teng starts with his sons Ma Xiu and Ma Tie already in his court.

Officer Spawns: Properly places key generals like Ji Ling and Wen Ping in their historical factions.

Southern Governors: Populate the southern territories with historical governors like Han Xuan and Zhao Fan (200).

Requirements & Compatibility:
Requirement: MTU (Make Them Unique) is mandatory for the character templates to display correctly.

Compatibility: Fully compatible with any mod that doesn’t modify the same specific scripts.

Note for TUP Users: Do not use this with TUP, as TUP already includes these features.

Savegame: A New Game is required for the scripts to trigger on Turn 0.
