Description:

Walking now gives -1.5 fatigue per tick, instead of vanilla +0 (idle is -8 per tick, for reference).

Units will slowly regain stamina while walking.

This mod only contains this single walking fatigue value; it is safe to load last so it overrides other mods, with no risk of incompatibility.

Why this mod exists:

In my opinion, the fact that units don’t regain stamina when walking in the base game makes running the only viable option in almost every situation.

Even at the start of battle, when fully fresh, you are better off taking positions fast and then letting your units recuperate, rather than walking all the way there (my opinion; not specifically tested).

A tired unit walking accross the map will still be exactly as tired in the end, so better keep it fresh in case it has to run later (+ they will run faster).

In any case, useful little stamina boost even if you disagree with me on that.

Future update:
I am currently thinking about increasing the stamina regen value to 2.0 per tick, your feedback is welcome!

Nerdy note:
I feared the "gradient_steep_movement_multiplier" (which multiplies the fatigue when running uphill) would break when entering a negative value for walking fatigue (making you regen stamina faster when walking uphill rather than downhill) but testing it in battle worked fine, in case you wondered.

Feel free to use this mod for your own work.
