The Vlka Fenryka are wearing sexy baby blue armor, which is engraved with either white magical Fenrisian runes or personal sagas in black runes. Each unit proudly displays their pack markings and heraldry wherever they can. Some units have received lore names, while others Fenrisian nicknames. And remember because the quests and tactics are working which can’t be said about the Chapters of the Imperium you can confidently go on a full adventure with the Sons of Russ.
-Is this mod compatible with Chapters of the Imperium?
Yes. In the list of factions, you will see a separate Space Wolves faction called Vlka Fenryka. If you are wondering, it is what they call themselves in the Fenrisian language.
-Are quests working in this mod?
Yes. Plus, I’ve added as much flavor as possible while keeping the original quest objectives and narrative.
-Does this mod support Gladius+?
Yes. Follow this link to get it. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2574806823
-Does this mod support TMV?
Yes. I missed TMV, so the submod was implemented shortly after the main mod’s release. Follow the link. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2574586902
-Is this mod localized into other languages than English?
No. All flavor texts are there but they are in English.
First, you have to know how it all started. Before releasing my mod, I friended Severus and let him know in person that my mod description would be containing unfavorable comparisons (now rewritten per subscriber’s insight), because I didn’t want him to think that I was doing it out of spite (I was doing it to win the people over actually by making all these funny meme screenshots and comparisons). I also told him I was a fan of his work which is true – his Eldar mod is great. He did not ask me either to change the comparison or mocking smileys and screenshots. Neither did he mention that he didn’t like the description. Instead, he actually went to my mod page and congratulated me on making my first mod, to which I was grateful and replied back (you can see he deleted his comment but my reply still refers to his congratulation). So, I thought he didn’t hold a grudge against me. As it turns out, I was very wrong.
Few weeks pass by and Severus posts an update with screenshot links on his mod page about his upcoming Deathwatch chapter. I was excited and took a look. I spotted a potential issue with the WIPs and wrote roughly the following: "I don’t mean to put you down, but would you reconsider your approach. Because of the limitations of the game, it won’t be possible to preserve the vibe of the Deathwatch (SM legs get colored along with pauldrons which doesn’t look like Deathwatch)." And added a suggestion: "I think if you took assault SM and colored them in Deathwatch colors that would work. You could make them as a special unit for every chapter." Literally a minute passes by and I see my comments disappear – Severus deleted both my constructive criticism and the suggestion. Were they insulting, disrespectful or harassing? You tell me, but I think we know the answer. The next moment, I get a DM from him, in which he insults me, scorns at how "successful" my mod is, accuses me of harassing and other stuff that I didn’t do. I was shocked by the level of delusion and pettiness he displayed. Then he took my freedom of speech and blocked me, leaving me without opportunity to reply at all. A real gentleman, a real man, huh? His behavior is that of a whiny five-year-old child who when confronted at a playground starts immediately crying his eyes out for no real reason.
The next day we have essentially the same argument in Steam forums, where he repeatedly accuses me of both harassing and insulting him, which you can clearly see hasn’t happened the way he sees it. Was I replying to his comments on forum? Yes. Did I insult him in the said comments? No. Did he insult me? Yes. The truth is all out there, you can read my testament here and the way he talked down at me in the forums for yourself (unless Severus decides to delete or tamper with the comments but that would only further prove that he’s a disingenuous person).
If you want to reuse any part of my mod, please ask for permission in the comment section and DM me. Also do not reupload the mod to other sites.
- Thanks to GW, Proxy Studio and Slitherine for making the game and allowing us to mod it at least to a certain extent. It would not be possible without it.
- Thanks to Brother Severus (author of Chapters of the Imperium). His mod inspired me to dig in the mod files, fix things and finally create my own version of Space Wolves.
- Thanks to dexgattaca (creator of Iron Hands mod). Without taking his mod as a perfect example, I would not have been able to figure out how to assemble a separate faction.
- Artworks used in the mod are the property of GW.
