More Artefact Types
Available in English and French.
Legacy artefacts are back!
In early versions of the game, a few more artefact types could be found while roaming on Gladius.
They were disabled with subsequent updates. This mod reenables them.
Restored cut contents!
The game files found within the core/languages folder show leftovers of a few more artefact ideas that didn’t make it into the game.
This mod uses the names and descriptions found there and creates the necessary files for these artefact types.
New artefact types!
The mod expands on the artefact concept and adds a few more types in order to widen the game diversity.
The chosen ones are meant to be useful for all factions and designed to stay balanced with eachothers.
Below is a list of all the artefact types you can now encounter with this mod enabled, including the vanilla ones.
(new) Cornucopia: +40% Flat Resources from Features
(new) Destiny Manifesto: +1 City Radius
This artefact allows to expand a city earlier and farther than usual.
If lost, the acquired area will be kept but you won’t be able to expand from it.
(vanilla) Siren Caster: +2 Loyalty
(new) Psychic Motivator: +10% Morale
(new) Melancholy Mitigator: -10% Morale Loss
(vanilla) Archaicopia: +0,5 Hitpoints
(vanilla) Mobile Holoprojector: +10% Hitpoints Max
(new) Shattered Shell: +5% Invulnerable Damage Reduction
Technically, if you were to get 20 of these, your units would be invincible.
(restored) Dicrystalline Reflector: +1 Armour
(restored) Platomic Destabiliser: +1 Armour Penetration
(new) Thunderous Retaliator: +10% Damage Returned
(vanilla) Old One Artefact: +10% Damage
(new) Tenfolding Prism: +10% Attacks
(new) Ballistic Enhancer: +1 Range
Every ranged attacks get an increase in range.
Your range 1 pistols can now fire from distance!
No, melee range doesn’t get increased…
(restored) Phantasmagorium: +1 Accuracy
(legacy) Full Spectrum Analyser: +1 Sight
(legacy) Ancient Pathcutter: +1 Movement Max
(removed) Leeching Bauble: +10% Life Steal
Somehow it didn’t apply at all.
(removed) Warp Hourglass: +1 Action, -30% accuracy, -30% attacks, -30% damage
Since simply adding an action would be far too strong, this artefact did something different: it decomposed the action of a unit, by allowing it to perform an additional action per turn, meanwhile the final amount of damage using both actions on a single enemy was close to the original (maybe slightly weaker at most).
But as their spawn can’t be limited in number and stacking several ones of them cripples/nullifies the damage output, it was simpler to remove them. Other option would’ve been to disable the trait stackability, making any more than one such artefact redundant.
Feel free to give new ideas or feedbacks, especially regarding balance. Good luck and enjoy!
