Relics designed and programmed by ChatGPT’s GPT-4 model!
Currently, the mod adds the following:
– 6 Ironclad relics (1 Common, 1 Uncommon, 1 Rare, 2 Boss, 1 Shop)
– 6 Silent relics (1 Common, 1 Uncommon, 1 Rare, 2 Boss, 1 Shop)
– 6 Defect relics (1 Common, 1 Uncommon, 2 Rare, 1 Boss, 1 Shop)
– 5 Watcher relics (2 Rare, 1 Boss, 2 Shop)
– 10 General relics (1 Uncommon, 3 Rare, 5 Boss, 1 Shop)
Keep in mind that these relics are not necessarily balanced. Fun is the most important factor here.
I do not know how to code, personally, but I thought it would be interesting if I tasked GPT-4 with designing and programming a bunch of relics. I sort of let GPT-4’s ideas as-is if the relic ideas were creative, unique, and not horribly unbalanced, but there are times I stepped in and said "Hey, this is way too weak or powerful, revise that idea."
GPT-4 did almost all the programming by itself, but I helped it by:
1. Searching online and in the #modding-technical channel of the Slay the Spire Discord server for relevant coding information
2. Testing the code and letting it know when the relic effects didn’t work as intended
All relic images were generated with Midjourney.
This mod was NOT thoroughly tested with other content mods. Compatibility issues may occur. In particular, one relic changes the Lock-On mechanic, so it may be incompatible with other mods which also change Lock-On. If you notice any issues regarding interactions between this mod and another mod, please put them in the Bug Reports thread.
Please report any bugs you find! I guarantee there will be a plethora of bugs and unintended interactions. I did a very small amount of playtesting myself, but not enough to capture all the quirks. "I" will try to fix anything you report 🙂
