1970 Mercuy Cyclone:The 1970 Mercury Cyclone marked a pivotal moment for Mercury’s performance lineup, arriving as the brand discontinued the Comet and consolidated its intermediate offerings under the Montego platform. With the Comet retired, the Cyclone became Mercury’s primary muscle-oriented intermediate, engineered to be a serious contender both on the street and on the track. Drawing heavily from Mercury’s racing programs, the Cyclone featured aggressive styling, aerodynamic refinements, and a wide range of high-performance V8 engine options. Buyers could also opt for the factory Drag Pack, further reinforcing the Cyclone’s role as a purpose-built performance car capable of competing in drag racing and NASCAR-inspired applications alike.

This mod features historically accurate factory paint colors, faithfully reflecting the limited palette the Cyclone originally shipped with in 1970. From the factory, Cyclone models were available exclusively in Competition Blue, Competition Green, Competition Orange, Competition Yellow, and Competition Gold, and each color has been carefully matched to original references and adjusted for correct in-game appearance. Included in this release are the Base Coupe, Spoiler and GT models, all equipped with their correct period-appropriate engines, ensuring each variant accurately represents the specifications and performance character of Mercury’s post-Comet Cyclone lineup.

NOTE: Some of these cars use specific parts which are labeled correctly in the parts shop.
