CNJ Communipaw Goat 0-4-0T 2-Pack
————— HISTORY —————
The loco was built in 1907 by Baldwin and served at the Bronx Terminal until 1925. It was removed from there after the Kaufman Act was passed that banned steam locos from working with the city confines. It worked at the Communipaw Shops for a number of years. . It’s final disposition is currently unknown but most likely scrapped after 1950.
Original specs included 45" drivers, 170 psi boiler pressure, 17×24" cylinders, modest engine weight of 91,500 lb and modest tractive effort of 22,272 lb.
