Description:

Before I begin, YES this ship is heavily based on Ente’s Medusa (see below for link to his amazing ship). The Medusa is one of my favorite ships and I wanted to try to make a more symmetrical version. It’s also slightly larger.

Without further ado, I present to you the Gorgon. The generic, not as pretty third cousin twice removed of the Medusa, designed to be a mining CV that can be upgraded to eventually mine dense ice and rich asteroids. The outside of this ship is made of steel and comes equipped with mining laser drills, a tool turret, and a couple of Gatling turrets for drone defense.

The ship spawns in as a core 7 and the CPU extender area has upgrade markers for superior, quantum, and aux core placements giving you plenty of juice for later upgrades. A food processor and fridge were not included since the ship is not energy neutral. I would suggest using one of the SV or CV fridge builds and park it in the cargo area. The device count on the inside is also pretty low, but the ship does not feel empty.

Storage:
1 x 640k Storage
1 x 320k Ammo
2 x 320k Harvest
And some various cargo boxes

Equipment:
8 x Laser drills
1 x Tool turret
2 x Light Gatling turrets
Adv. Warp, pentaxid tank, and Shield
1 x Small fusion reactor
2 x Basic shield boosters
1 x Standard shield booster
4 x Basic plasma turbines
4 x Standard plasma turbines (no room for the advanced ones)
2 x Advanced Constructors
1 x Deconstructor
1 x Mobile Furnace
All medical devices
And the usual suite of other devices (armor locker, Science table, O2 stations, etc.)

This is my first ship for RE2, first time using container extenders, LCD projectors, having to work with ship mass, and anything else added after 2020ish. It took me longer than I thought to finish because I’ve never been good at interior design and i wanted to give it my all. Big shout out to all the ship builders out there. The time and effort yall put in does not go unnoticed.
