Description:

Started as a collection of items, weapons, armor, etc. but has developed into a full-scale overhaul of major gameplay components surrounding combat and survival. This mod is meant to supplement the general gameplay of DST but tuned to be a little easier.


Get Sweaty

We added a "sweaty" mechanic (scalable config) to drain a little extra hunger with each swing and work action. Adds a bit of resource management to your daily adventures and big boss fights! We also made it so when you are hungry you start to slowly lose sanity, and when well-fed you slowly gain sanity.


Randomized Damage

Armory weapons and most base game weapons and tools now deal randomized damage on hit (toggle config), including chances for critical strikes varied by weapon. Peep the weapon crafting tooltip for damage range and crit chance.


Damage and Armor Types

Along with randomized damage, we added damage types to weapons, tools, and mobs! Axe and sabre will chop more than pierce, hammers deal blunt, etc. As of 1.0.8 we are still working on a good way to allow players to read these values in-game, but we have them all posted in the patch notes, and we added a scaling gradient damage text for each hit to show relative effectiveness of a weapon on a mob (red crits, gold is peak damage, white is average, and grey is ineffective).


Lots of New Toys

Added (and still adding) more weapons and tools to the game to add variety to combat. These are meant to be somewhat balanced compared to base game weapons.
Flint Sword: 31-39 Damage; 2 twigs, 6 flint, 3 grass
Flint Sabre: 34-42 Damage; 2 twigs, 8 flint, 1 rope
Bone Club: 31-37 Damage; 2 boneshard, 2 silk
Houndstooth Dagger: 30-35 Damage; 2 grass, 1 boneshard, 1 houndstooth
Houndstooth Crown: 70% Resistance; 7 houndstooth, 7 evil petals (w.i.p. set bonus when used with the dagger)
Meat Cleaver: 32-37 Damage; 1 twig, 1 rope, 4 flint (adds a random chance to drop extra meat when killing mobs) (Science Machine Required)
Golden Sabre: 41-49 Damage; 1 twig, 1 rope, 6 gold (Alchemy Engine Required)
Royal Whacker: 36-41 Splash Damage; 3 logs, 2 gold, 3 cutstone (Alchemy Engine Required)
Moonstone Gladius: 58-64 Damage; 1 rope, 1 red gem, 5 moon rock nuggets (Celestial Orb Required)
Moonstone Warhammer: 50-55 Splash Damage; 2 rope, 4 logs, 6 moon rock nuggets (Celestial Orb Required)
