Residential buildings type 120K
I present to you a set of residential buildings of the 120K series. The residential buildings of this series are a modification of the 120 series residential buildings. The buildings were designed by the IPGS of the State Construction Committee of the Lithuanian SSR (Institute of Urban Construction Design of the State Construction Committee of the Lithuanian SSR) for the construction of new residential neighborhoods in Klaipėda. Buildings of this series were massively constructed in Klaipėda, where they were built in the southwestern districts of the city. They were also built in other cities in Lithuania (Visaginas, individual buildings in Siauliai). In addition to Lithuania, houses of this series were built in Latvia (Liepaja) and Russia (Kaliningrad, individual buildings in Vsevolozhsk). They were built between 1987 early modifications, to 1989, but the buildings of later years, although they have more different sections, are devoid of “architectural excesses” in the form of superstructures above the ventilation shafts, and in some later buildings of the series, the balcony screens and entrance groups are noticeably simplified. In this model, I tried to eliminate this shortcoming. Residential buildings have high-quality housing and a slightly higher construction cost, due to the fact that the real buildings of this series have a layout that is atypical even for late “Brezhnevka” buildings, where each even single-room apartments have a spacious hall with access to a balcony and a noticeably larger area, which is why they are considered one of the best typical residential buildings of the Soviet period.
The series includes both ready-made houses and “T” and “H” shaped sections, which allows you to assemble quite bizarre neighborhoods from them.
