Absolute Madness
This mod turns the story mode into an excruciating endurance test. Every single enemy has been buffed and given tac-bars and now all share a new skillgroup, meaning Bandits are now as capable as Soldats. Even the Outskirts bandits will give you a run for your money on the very first level. You will pull your hair out trying to get through this, especially without friends. You will need to have mastery of every mechanic, every exploit, every little possible thing to use to your advantage. Stopping for even a second or getting surrounded will let you kiss your corpus goodbye.
NOTE: This mod will likely be incompatible with any other mods that change vanilla enemy attributes, skillgroups. This mod does not change appearances of the enemies or animations.
There are a few too many changes to list, so here’s a few things to know:
– This does NOT include Arena Mode factions, such as Toughs or N51.
– 90% of all enemies now use the same skillgroup which includes nearly every skill, minus Origin skills or Tactical Master (though few enemies are given it)
– Church & Jorge now sport tac-bars and higher levels.
– AAHW Soldats and Nexus Engineers now have the Sniper ability
– AAHW Engineers now have two Corpus
– Zeds, Abominations & G03LMs now have tac-bars.
– Most enemies now have higher attributes.
– Most enemies can now perform executions, this includes Improvised Weapons. (Watch out for enemies with screwdrivers!)
– Most enemies now have Acrobatic Level 3.
– Some bosses, such as Gestalt or Blackguard have been mostly left unchanged due to potentially breaking the missions.
– G03LM enemies do not use the AbsoluteMadnessSkill group, but do use Tactical Novice + Journeyman.
I HIGHLY advise against playing this with AI controlled teammates. While not impossible, they will easily get destroyed, and levels such as Climb! will be nearly impossible to get through. And yes, before you ask, I have tested the end of Sleeper Labs and it is possible, you just need to be very lucky. Recommend you play on Madness for the true experience. Good luck.
