The MZKT-7930 is an 8×8 heavy-duty wheeled chassis produced by the Belarusian manufacturer Volat (formerly Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant), designed primarily for military applications as a transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) for missile systems. Developed in the early 1990s, it offers a payload capacity ranging from 17.8 to 24 tons, enabling it to support substantial loads across diverse terrains with high mobility. Introduced into Russian service around 2000, the MZKT-7930 serves as the primary chassis for the 9K720 Iskander tactical ballistic missile system, facilitating rapid deployment, erection, and launch operations. Its robust design has also been adapted for other platforms, including the Uragan-1M multiple launch rocket system, Pantsir-S1 air defense vehicles, S-300 radar transporters, and various engineering support machines like the 15M69 masking vehicle. The chassis’s versatility stems from its hydromechanical transmission options, elevated fuel capacity for extended range, and compatibility with armored crew cabins meeting STANAG 4569 Level 3 protection standards against small-arms fire, making it a cornerstone of heavy weapons mobility in Russian and allied forces. Upgrades continue to enhance its performance, including integration with advanced transmissions like the MZKT-5561 for improved operational efficiency in modern conflicts.
