Script SC61 Grade crossing (by adlet)
Requires 1.18.
Implements visual aspects of grade crossing signals for auto roads.
Use notes:
• When a train is approaching, the grade crossing signals on the auto road will turn red, until the train has passed the crossing.
• Can support crossing any number of tracks, including single-track lines.
• The script is solely visual. It does not actually turn the auto road signals read, it just makes them look red.
• The auto road signals would go red automatically by NIMBY based on train passing a balise (see setup notes below).
Setup notes:
• The script requires four types of elements:
• Crossing Controller (1) – connect to all railway clearance markers and autoroad grade crossing lights – can be located anywhere.
• Trigger balises (any number)- connect to the controler. Place at sufficient distance from the grade crossing to ensure collisions do not occur.
• Autoroad lights (any number) – no configuration needed. Place immediately before railroad crossing. Place a balises after railroad crossing.
• Railroad clearance markers – not scripted (but essential). Place on railway track after auto-road crossing. The autoroad signal turns off after the train passes this marker.
You may need to cut the road crossing track shortly after the clearance marker to turn off the autoroad red light shortly after the train passes.
