MOD Load Order Requirements
  • Troop Editor must be placed after large-scale mods and other troop mods. Exported mods should follow the same rule.
  • If you have installed a character overhaul mod, place it after Troop Editor, otherwise changes to troop appearances may not take effect.

MOD Introduction

"Troop Editor" is a powerful visual tool for creating troop trees. Players can edit vanilla troops, add new custom troops, or even craft independent troop mods. Exported mods can run without requiring the Troop Editor. Some UI interface code references "My Little Warband."

MOD Features

1. Custom Troop Creation
  • In the town interface, create your own troop trees or edit existing troops. Use "Shift + Left Click" on a troop’s portrait to quickly edit them.
  • Customizable attributes include:
    • Skills, weapons, equipment, mounts, culture, gender, appearance, occupation, extra health, and more.
    • Troop Level & Tier: Level 1 = Tier 0, Level 6 = Tier 1, Level 11 = Tier 2, and so on.
  • Use the "Upgradable To" option to add the next level of troops or select existing troops as upgrade paths (up to 4 branches).
  • Troop names, appearances, occupations, and other attributes can be quickly modified.

2. Troop Recruitment
  • In the town menu, set troop recruitment based on culture, kingdom, clan, or hero.
  • Assign unique recruitment troops to specific kingdoms, clans, or lords, or make enemy troops exceptionally powerful.
  • In the configuration menu, enable player recruitment of custom troops or allow them to spawn in garrisons.

3. Troop Modification
  • Modify existing troop attributes using "Shift + Left Click" to access the editing interface.
  • Modified vanilla troops can be exported as standalone mods, independent of the Troop Editor.

4. Mod Creation
  • Export designed troop trees or modified vanilla troops as new mods.
  • If using equipment from other mods, select those mods as dependencies.
  • Exported troop mods run independently, enabling players without coding skills to become mod authors!
