Historical Greek Names
Faction, character, and region names for the Greeks closer to the original Ancient Greek, i.e. less-latinized.
For character names, this mod only applies to factions in the names_dan group, meaning it’ll affect the Achaeans but NOT Anatolian factions like Troy, Lycia, Dardania (These use the Luwian name group). I may change this if enough people ask for it!
The Faction/Region names apply to all of Greece and Thrace, as well as the islands in the Aegean. Anatolia is untouched
Be sure and put this mod on top of any other mod you’re using in the load order. It shouldn’t conflict with any other mods you are using.
If you spot a potential error please let me know in the comments! Greek isn’t my first language and I don’t claim to be an expert.
I should preface these names are still in Ancient Greek (mainly Ionic), just less influenced by Latin spelling and closer to historical accuracy overall.
e.g. Patroclus > Patroklos, Aeneas > Aineias
