Red Waters [SP]
The year is 1964. After the failure of the Great Leap Forward, civil unrest had risen to a point where the people have begun to rise in protest. Mao Zedong continued to lead as state chairman and after being fed exaggerated claims of the economic output of the provinces, decided that it was now the time to liberate Taiwan from American imperialism and the Nationalists.
He garnered support from CCP officials who held grudges against Nationalists and left his opposition unanswered in their criticism. The PLA Navy and Marine Corps would be the first to cross the strait as they headed for an island that was being built up as a defensive airbase for the Taiwanese Airforce. Their objective: Take the island and use it as a stepping stone for mainland Taiwan.
You are the squad leader of a PLANMC squad, called "Gou" working with many other squads. Orders are to take the island in it’s entirety using any means possible and taking out anything that could interfere with the PRC’s goals of invasion.
