Description:

Introduces the man-at-arms, a mechanoid class that can be outfitted with weapons and apparel.

The man-at-arms is a mechanoid class that utilizes ranged and melee weaponry, as well as clothing, armor, and other gear, just as well as a human can. Named as such from their humanoid profile, the man-at-arms can be mistaken for human at a distance, until their disregard for injury and their decidedly inhuman visage proves otherwise.

To make one yourself, you’ll need high mechtech research, as well as a high subcore and some materials. At a bandwidth of 4, they’re not cheap, as they’re meant to be adapable, as well as very hard to take down when properly armored. They have accuracy comparable to Shooting 8 and Melee accuracy comparable to a pawn with a 4 in Melee, just like the Scyther’s melee accuracy.

Men-at-arms are not limited to mechanitors. The mechhive has them available to raid your colony, and they’re always well-geared. As enemies, they’re always in flak gear at a minimum and will seek cover.
