Gundam Wars: Battle Universe is a total conversion mod that brings the Gundam Universal to Rusted Warfare, aiming to create a game experience that is authentic to both the spirit and design of the Mobile Suit Gundam universe.
Fight pitched battles on land and in space with more than a hundred units taken from just as many works, from the humble Type-61 MBT to the Federation’s Himalaya-class aircraft carrier, to even the hulking Gwandan-class battleship, each featuring intricate sprites made to represent them in maximum detail.

9 months ago, the cluster of colonies furthest from the Earth, called Side 3, proclaimed itself the Principality of Zeon and launched a war of independence against the Earth Federation. Eight months had passed since the rebellion began. They were at a stalemate.

Employ your technical advantage and adapt to the challenges of waging a war on the Gravity Front, and counter the recovering Federation with ever more advanced designs as the One Year War takes to space once again – break through the Federation’s fleets with the Big Zam (now with mass-production capabilities), or deliver death from afar with the Elmeth – and stave off defeat.
Continue the War in spite of everything – and launch a daring heist for the Physalis.

Other Features
Complete Mechanics Overhaul:
Battle Universe completely replaces nearly every base game mechanic with its own systems and additions.
Strategic Positions replace the base economic system, capture them to grow your economy and your armies. A dedicated research system is also now implemented, featuring an easy-to-understand UI, complete with custom graphics.
Units now each have abilities that greatly change how they operate – instruct your MS pilots to travel at full boost and switch to close quarters, or order ships to disperse Minovsky Particles, and much more.
Balancing that, every unit now has both health and energy, adding a new logistical layer: units that are out of energy cannot fight, and must be replenished at a depot or a supply-capable vessel, and abilities often cost a significant amount of energy.
ACE Units represent the legendary commanders and pilots of the Universal Century – their abilities can greatly change the course of a battle, and a dedicated pilot system allows you to put your favourite characters in any unit you so desire – or to upgrade veteran pilots to new machines. (Yes, you can in fact put Amuro in an Anti-Zaku Tank* if you want to.)
*Note that the Anti-Zaku Tank cannot, in fact, anti-zaku.
