[1.12.5] Freight Shipping V1.03
Adds "Freight Transportation" as a highly lucrative input good that railways produce and will make them highly profitable, as was the case in reality. All commercial buildings use "Freight Transportation" proportional to their infrastructure use, also serving to make those buildings pay for their own infrastructure.
For the sake of early game development, Freight Transport is produced by Subsistence Buildings, representing low-level wagon trails, horse drawn carriages, stagecoaches, and such. It may seem "cheap" but there’s very little supply. It’s only meant to supply enough freight shipping for the base amount of infrastructure you get from population.
Allows ports, shipyards, and sometimes military shipyards to be built inland on states with river traits so that states with river traits can make the use of all their Infrastructure.
As well, Ports and Railways now produce the good "Freight Shipping", A highly lucrative good that is meant to represent how historically, these were how Railways made their money; not passenger transport which was a loss leader.
Adds a Generic Railroad company as a very strong and a good choice for anyone wanting to build up their infrastructure, or unify their market, as railroads were intended by god to be.
