Limited Lives
Limited Lives is a simple mod that gives the player exactly three lives. After those three lives expire, your character is deleted. Basically just Hardcore with extra steps (it actually is just Hardcore with extra steps).
This was made by request of ArcAngela for her community server, however I made the mod entirely self-isolated and configurable so it’s compatible with virtually any modlist and can be used elsewhere. By default, the player has exactly three lives and regenerating a single life takes three hours of playtime. These variables can be changed by patching the limitedLives.conifg file. Note that setting the timer value to -1 will disable regeneration of lives, and adding more lives will require you to make new life status effects.
Lastly, this mod requires the one and only StarExtensions[github.com] to work. OpenStarbound compatibility is plossible but not confirmed at this time.
