AI Recruits More Faction Units
This mod aims to improve battle variety and make major/minor factions feel more unique. AI major and minor factions will recruit more unique factions units, such as Sabu Nagib units, while recruiting much less native units like Akkadian farmers. Furthermore, AI major will prefer to construct unique faction buildings over native recruitment ones. AI minor factions will construct the special minor recruitment building and recruit more non-native units. For example, Ashkelon and Ugarit will field more Sabu Nagib units than Habiru units as long as they have a tier 3 or higher settlement. Unplayable AI faction armies will still consist almost entirely of native units though.
Save-game compatible. Does not affect start_pos.
Modded units will be recruited by the AI as long as their qualities are higher than native units (200-1200) and the values of their recruitment buildings are at least 2000.
Other mods affecting these tables are likely also compatible, but will overwrite identical rows based on load order.
Technical stuff: This mod makes changes to the following tables.
cai_construction_system_building_values_tables – Increased the values of faction recruitment buildings to 2000-2400. The value of unique Aegean landmarks that adds units, such as Troy’s Chosen, has been increased to 4000. Also, adds new rows for the recruitment buildings of Mycenae, Troy, Hanigalbat, and Babylon.
cdir_military_generator_unit_qualities_tables – Heavily decreased the quality of native units (about 200-1200), while increasing the value of many faction units (about 220-4500)
cai_task_management_system_task_generator_groups_generators_junctions_tables – Increased the priority of CAI_TMS_GDS_TASK_GENERATOR_RECRUIT_WITH_MAIN_ARMY_IN_HIGH_QUALITY_REGION and CAI_TMS_TASK_GENERATOR_RECRUIT_HIGHER_QUALITY_UNITS (70-86)
