Boogers Extraction
All displayed vehicles, skins, and weapons are part of the “Vanilla+” mods made by Sofa and his crew. Shoutout to Sofa for answering my questions in the discord server.
I recommend making Raven have equipment similar to a terrorist group or the Kestrel team setup from the Vanilla+ mods. This mission is meant to be friendlies are outnumbered but better equipped and on the defensive.
This map relies on you assigning vehicles that have similar “vehicle seat duties” as the vanilla game (as in your APC should have a gunner position open for seat 2, or the transport helicopter holding at least 4 people, etc.) Everything will work correctly if the vehicles you chose have more seats, but try not to use vehicles that have less.
This map is also designed for vanilla, vanilla+, and other similar mods. I have NOT tested this with other mods, so just keep that in mind. If this map doesn’t work for you, it’s mostly because your vehicles aren’t going to work.
Please let me know if you find anything wrong with the map. I’ve done VERY extensive playtesting to make sure things operate, but I can’t be everywhere all at once.
This is my first scripted mission in what (hopefully) will be a series of “OG COD style” campaign missions. This one is light on story or motive for objectives and stuff because it is my first scripted map, but future maps will bring more actual characters and named locations and stuff. These missions will take a LOT of inspiration from the OG Modern Warfare trilogy, especially MW2.
I made this map in a couple of weeks between jobs, but don’t think subsequent maps will be as frequent. I’m not the most fluent with this map making stuff, so I end up spending 10% of my time making the map and 90% of it testing the scripts to make sure it all works. I won’t be able to sit around all day and wait for things to load when I get another job. I feel like a loser talking about how unemployed I am in the steam workshop lol. That being said, I will always be making maps but I might only be able to pump 3 or 4 out a year. I really don’t know how Sofa and those big modders do it.
