Historic Ethnic Music Collection (Sengoku Jidai)
I have been fascinated by this region of the world for a little while now and was frustrated that there were no mods that attempted to set the games musical tone to the correct time period. There are some really interesting and relevant instruments that were left out of the base game and I had a ton of fun learning about them all and curating a better soundtrack.
This mod is a complete overhaul of the base OST, including the pre battle files. Music was sourced by a wide variety of artists, as well a few actors from Kabuki plays. Of the music included much was born during the infancy stages of the Edo period or are modern reinterpretations of 16th century Japanese music. I deviated from strict historical accuracy during some high energy battle moments to keep it fun, but everything in this mod is faithful to what could plausibly have been played with instruments of the time.
This is awesome if you want something fresh, you want to get deeper into your roleplay, or if you just like cool music I guess. Whatever floats your bune. (har har har get it)
