Spartan Evolution V4
This is my first mod and I am open to any suggestions for improvments.
The theme behind this mod is what would Sparta have become, had it evolved into a leading power in the Roman era.
While not historically accurate, neither is any point in a playthrough with Sparta as your chosen faction. So this mod represents Sparta returning to it’s legendary image of archaic Greece, re-employing the use of the iconic Corinthian helmet, the bronze cuirass and scarlet cloak for every Spartan soldier.
The new Units Bronze Spartan Hoplites and Bronze Spartan Pikemen will be recruitable upon researching Supply Reforms, replacing Spartan Hoplites and Spartan Pikemen; the only stat change being a small increase in armour rating.
Spartiate Spears are a new, early game unit that will be retrained to allow Spartan Hoplites upon researching Military Settlement.
Perioikoi Swords and Perioikoi Cavalry are new late game units that replace Perioikoi Spears and Citizen Cavalry respectively upon researching Renumeration Reforms; while not elite units, they allow for a slightly more diverse late game military.
V4.0 Change Notes:
Major rebalancing to Spartan Units to match that of CA’s changes:
Combat stats rebalanced; Spartan Hoplites are now truly some of the most powerful Hoplites available
Unit caps updated; CA has removed the unit caps for all Spartans EXCEPT Heroes of Sparta, therefore I have respected this decision and matched it, Heroes are now capped to 2
Rebalanced Perioikoi Cavalry to match patch 11’s changes.
