Migz – DH’s Party-Loyalty Technologies (Patches 18 and 19)
Adds party-loyalty bonuses to technologies in the Grand Campaign, Imperator Augustus, Hannibal at the Gates, and Wrath of Sparta campaigns. Balanced for patch 18 and works with patch 19!
- Only the Empire Divided campaign has technologies that affect party loyalty.
CA provided party-loyalty technologies to nine of the ten factions in the Empire Divided campaign, but it didn’t provide any to the factions in the other campaigns. Therefore, I used the technologies from Empire Divided as the basis for new technology components in the other campaigns. To do that, I added party loyalty to existing technologies based on factions’ unique cultures and starting statistics.
Roman and Carthaginian factions do not get as strong of a bonus as other factions do, but they can get them earlier than most other factions. Seleucid, Egypt, Baktria, and Pontus can all get their bonuses much later than other factions can, but the cost isn’t any greater for those technologies than in the vanilla game, except for Seleucid, who is already an empire and benefits from a party bonus at the start of the campaign.
Although this mod works with the Ancestral Update (patch 20), it is balanced for the Power and Politics update (patch 18). The new family tree makes the politics system much easier to use through promoted female politicians, and I feel that the bonuses given by this mod give the player too much of an advantage. Therefore, I’ve created a new mod that balances all of the campaigns, including the Rise of the Republic, for patch 20: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1521852168
