300: Rise of Athens
In this wise, yet fierce mod, I have two base units from the Athenians in the movie 300: Rise of an Empire. There are:
Athena’s Noble Swords
and
Athena’s Noble Spears
The spears and swords are high-mid tier units and have naval counterparts. Both are recruitable from the main military chain of buildings, starting at level III, so you can start enjoying these loyal men of Athens a little sooner than most other heavy infantry. The naval counter parts can start being recruited from level II Shipwrights. They can start to be enlisted relatively early but… these fine soldiers can be recuited with a bit of experience, if obtained from higher level buildings than what is first available. This is to give players a bit more reason to upgrade their military buildings and ports, since these upgrades tend to be too expensive to yield as much benefit as many would desire. It also may make the game a little harder to get bored of. And, as one could probably guess, both units can be recuited as generals (and admirals), for the glory of the great city of Athens! These warriors are available to Athens(Main Campaign), Athenai(Wrath of Sparta Campaign), and their civil war counterparts. I don’t even want to think of how ticked off Athena would be if other Greeks were recruiting her noble troops. I hope that these fine swords and spears can satisfy both the bloodlusts and ambitions of those that command them. May Athena give you wisdom. 😉
P.S. I lowered the multiplayer costs of Light Hoplites by 20(so they now cost 420). They… could probably use a little buff to make them a little more… dope. 😛
