LORE: The MEMENTO Club’s expedition was finally on track to revealing the deep secrets of the Metalburg society. But it took them too long. As time passed and Chirpokind remained at war against the Space Pirates, a feeling of resentment grew in the hearts of the population. Even though the MEMENTO Club returned to them their Ancient Weapon in the form of deadly Chirpozoids, the People still saw them as the foul offspring of the scammers who wronged them in the past. They felt as if too much of their taxpayer money had been given to them, and it would be better spent on the war effort. The Chirpo government was, therefore, forced to cut the expedition’s funding. However, the Club decided not to cancel their mission. Instead, they made a risky move to make money. They used their recovered salvage to mass produce something and sell it across the Galaxy under the Metalburg Bureau brand. The product was a low-cost ornithopter, and it soon became popular among the desert-dwelling youths who couldn’t afford fancy flying cars. Even some Hoodoos chirpos bought it! For now, the money was enough to keep things going.
