Control the game speed from buttons on your widgets. Fast-forward through the slow parts with 2x, 5x, or even 10x speed.
This mod enables adding game speed adjustment buttons to your widgets. These buttons already exist in the game, but are hidden away. The default speed options are 0x (pause), 2x and 5x. As bonus, this mod adds additional speed options: 0.5x, 1.5x, 3x, and 10x. This speeds up every action (crafting, fishing, mining, etc..), as well as increasing movement speed. I also tried to add negative speed options, but it just makes the game hang. My Homura playthrough is in shambles.
The existing options are buried behind multiple checkboxes that clearly state experimental unsupported features, so use them (and by extension this mod) with caution.
That said, these functions were used for dozen of hours without any problems.
How do I add these buttons?
Enable the Extra 1 widget from the widget menu if you have not done so already. Click on an empty slot in your widget. The buttons are under "Bar-specific shortcuts".
Add the ones you want and click them to change speed. It’s recommended to add the 1x speed option in case you want to switch back.
Pro-tip: Add them to widget slots with a hotkey assigned so you can switch speeds by the press of a button.
What is the difference between this mod and other speed-up mods?
This mod does not save any in-game time, only IRL time. Since it speeds up the entire game every action, including movement, is accelerated. Furthermore, this mod has no game speed related logic itself at all; it only allows easier access to options which already exist in the game. Since the game handles everything, it might be less likely to break anything or run into compatibility issues. Emphasis on might.
Action X is not going faster! Can you fix it?
Since this mod has no actual logic related to game speed most likely not. Keep in mind certain actions (like playing music) seem to work differently and just halt the rest of the game in it’s entirely.

Is this mod compatible with…?
Instant actions: Compatible
Turbo actions: Unknown, I couldn’t get this mod to work at all. But that mods seems to use the build in Turbo mode, so it should be ok.
When changing speeds your character might occasional ‘skate’ around for a bit before settling down.
