Wear Anything With Anything
Because 42.15 disables reflection this mod stopped working unless playing in debug mode. As a workaround, I’ve added a second version of the mod "Nepenthe’s B42.15 Hack of Wear Anything With Anything" that will work without debug mode but must be loaded before any other mods that add BodyLocations. Just put it at the top of your load order if you’re unsure. This version of the mod provides the same features but will cause problems if future game updates change/add body locations, but it’s the best that can be done for now.
Also, during testing I discovered that combining novelty glasses and a gasmask is cursed. And I’m posting a pic of this to attract attention and try and get more people reading the important B42.15 update before asking questions in the comments.
You can still only wear one item per body location, but all exclusions between body locations have been removed. This can be used sensibly:
- Wear a watch and forearm armor
- Wear shoulder pads without giving up your backpack
- Keep an eye-patch on under you glasses or gas-mask.
- Wear skinny jeans under a skirt
Or you can create a horrible monstrosity of clothing clipping into other pieces of clothing. We won’t judge.
Can I wear X with Y?
Try it and see. There are far too many clothing items and BodyLocations to make an exhaustive list and sometimes it’s not obvious which BodyLocations are used (a hoodie with the hood up uses a different BodyLocation than a hoodie with the hood down, for example.)
Does this work with modded clothing?
Yes. If the mod adds a new slot and sets exclusions, load this mod after it so the exclusions are cleared out.
Is this the same thing as mods like Canteen Slot and Balaclava Slot?
No. Those mods change the BodyLocation that items are placed in; For example moving the western canteen from the AmmoStrap slot to a new slot so you can wear it and Ammo straps at the same time. This mod removes the the "You can’t wear a FullHat item and a Mask/Glasses/Eyepatch item at the same time" type logic.
Can zombies also wear anything with anything?
Yes, so some zombie outfits will be wearing combinations like skinny jeans under regular jeans. That’s because they put on extra layers in an attempt to protect themselves from the undead. Which failed. So now you can enjoy a bit of extra loot, in case you need more dirty bloodstained pants with holes in them..
