Jake the Dog
Jake the Dog stretches into Rivals of Aether!
Jake is a tricky fighter who uses his stretchy powers to twist his body into any shape and size, giving him a range advantage! Be careful however, as his body can still be hit while extended.
Notable moves:
Neutral special is a long ranged grab and one of his few truly disjointed attacks. Use this to start and extend combos!
Forward special has two different behaviors.
On the ground, Jake becomes a horse and charges forward! This attack can be jump cancelled on hit or with extra lag by hitting the special button after 45 frames.
In the air, Jake morphs into a paper airplane and glides forward. This move can always be special cancelled, but puts Jake into pratfall and has weak attack power.
Up special has Jake squish inwards before unloading like a spring! This move can be angled during startup and has a long hitbox to combo with.
Down special works differently in the air and on the ground.
On the ground, Jake flips a bacon pancake upwards! This projectile can be thrown at three different angles and has a good amount of stun to anyone who gets hit in the face with it.
In the air, Jake becomes a heavy object and slams down violently! This attack can be special cancelled partway through or on hit.
Normals:
Down air hits three times with the last being a powerful spike! This attack can be jump cancelled at any point after connecting and the first two hitboxes can’t be teched.
All of Jake’s strongs grow into larger versions of themselves when halfway charged. Try hitting Fstrong’s sweet spot at the fist!
Forward tilt and forward air both have super secret spikes…
