Slinx the Jester
Once upon a time there was a little jester with arms like accordions and a smile like piano keys, no one really knows what manner of animal he is but one thing can be certain, he only desires to find a kingdom and entertain its king and all their citizens. He tries all manner of acts such as acrobatics, comedy, and music performances but alas none of which ever captured the public. Every kingdom he visited never accepted him nor found enjoyment out of his performance, so Slinx wanders the globe in search of a kingdom for which to entertain. But the globe grows small as each kingdom he goes to mysteriously falls. Now in the continent of Aether he sets his sights for these new civilizations in hopes that he may find a kingdom to perform for and bring joy and wonder to these nations in need of a good laugh.
Using the power of instruments and mysterious ancient magic Slinx bounces into the field to spread his brand of nonsensical fun and boundless noise. Slinx plays both from afar thanks to his long accordion like arms and close range with his tricky movement. Play as unpredictable as possible as being caught once means curtains for this light weight jester.
Accordion Jump: Using his accordion arms he can rise very high as he double jumps, there is a unique property as pressing down on the controller will make Slinx fall instantly. But pressing up on the controller or pressing the jump button again will allow Slinx to rise. You can continuously perform this maneuver until his double jump ends. This gives Slinx unparalleled movement in the air, use this to mix opponents up in their attacks by quickly changing directions.
Marching Notes: Using neutral special they play a flute he plays a tune which brings music notes to life. He can summon three notes on a set order. The first note he summons is a Beamed Eighth Note which walks slowly on stage, this weak projectile can hit multiple times and can be dodged easily. The second note is a Eight Note which flies in a straight line and chomps continuously, it is stronger than the last note but it can only hit opponents when the note chomps. The last note is a Thirty-Second Note which flies straight at the opponent and traps them in an attacking barrage before launching them away. You can attack the opponent as they’re trapped.
Slinking Slinx: Pressing side special he uses his accordion arms he bounces forward in an arc, as you’re flying you can press the special button again to crash two symbols together which stuns opponents when it hits. When you land on the ground you can press the special button again to bounce again in the same arc, you can keep repeating this as long as you want until you get hit or use the symbols.
Hold Head Note: Pressing down special has Slinx jump high into the air and crash head first into the stage. Falling off stage warps Slinx to the top of the screen, they can warp multiple times consecutively until he goes too fast and explode, killing him instantly.
Up Special: Air Head
Slinx inflates his head like a balloon and slowly floats up to the stage. His maneuverability horizontally is much faster than his accent so you can dodge away from an opponent’s attack. Press the special button at any time to pop your own head, it is very powerful as an attack but the move ends as your head pops.
Down Tilt
Slinx bounces on their butt to attack the opponent. You can press the attack button repeatedly to continuously bounce on their butt.
