As Daughter of the famous Edo Physician Hanaoka Seishū she, Honoka Seishū, could have chosen the path of her Father, despite it being rare for Women at the time to reach this title, but she refused that privileged position.
The waves brought her and her Father Dutch learning, later with it the Teachings of Marukusu-sensei and Engerusu-sensei.
When the time was ready she chose to join Lady Oboshi in her great Revolution and use her remarkable understanding of modern medicine to treat the ones who valiantly fought and were wounded from the people’s struggle against the shogunate.
