Description:
Welcome!

Behold: the APRIL: FOOLS Reptiles! A pack so silly it might just either disappoint you or impress you!

Have you ever dreamed of dinosaur AI that runs away when it’s low on health? Or wanted that they get soaked wet, make big splashes, or even drown if they take a dip too deep? How about footsteps that sound just a little too real, and details scattered all around for your discover journey? Well, congratulations! You have stumbled upon this absurd little masterpiece.

And yes, these models are intentionally bad. That’s the whole point! But don’t be fooled: while the polygons are okay, the textures and bumpmaps have been lovingly polished. Every scale and smooth detail was tweaked to look surprisingly decent.. just so you can admire how absurdly qualified these are for their terrible geometry. All packed into one beautifully crafted addon.

NEXTBOTs.

Ankylosaurus.
Brachiosaurus.
Parasaurolophus.
Stegosaurus.
Triceratops.
Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Velociraptor.

Background/Ambient/Decorative:

Pteranodon.

Features / Details:

Water Support: Fully interactive water! These NEXTBOTs can get soaking wet, make little splashes, and even drown if they take a dive too deep.
Head Tracking: Their heads follow the direction they’re looking, whether they’re AI-controlled or possessed by you.
Possession Support: Take control of any NEXTBOT at the tips of your fingertips.
TIP: Pressing V lets you switch between over three different camera positions while in possession!
Fear System: When below half HP, these NEXTBOTs panic and run away! unless you still manage to damage them, in which case they’ll make one last, desperate attempt to get you.
Breathing: Listen closely: when idle or roaming they breathe casually, and when running they pant heavily.
Contextual Sounds: From jaws popping to giant footsteps echoing far away, every sound is exactly where it belongs, whether underwater or on land.
Glowy Eyes: Velociraptors and T. Rex’s have special glowing eyes that shine in the dark.
Open Entities: NEXTBOTs can open doors, gates, and anything openable! except Pteranodons, who apparently lack the intelligence here to figure that out.
Particles & Effects: Every step on land or in water creates splashes, dust, or dirt, leaving a trail behind them.
Death Poses: Since these aren’t ragdolls, they strike a pose upon death, staying there until manually removed.
Turn System: Each NEXTBOT has a unique turn speed, giving them variety as they swerve and pivot around.
Anti-Stuck System: When they collide with walls or objects, they’ll get un-stuck after a short duration. Nothing can trap them that easily.
Height System: Depending on how far their legs can reach, they can step over boxes or even miniature walls, ensuring they don’t get awkwardly stuck on a single obstacle.
Fall Damage: NEXTBOTs can take fall damage from heights. The bigger they are, the more health it costs!

Q / A

Q: Do they use ARK sounds?
A: Yes, due to the scarcity of free useful high-quality sounds around media.

Q: Why do herbivores run or stay defensive against you?
A: Back in the “old-school” days, herbivores were the cowardly ones. Since these models are old-school too, i kept that tradition alive.

Q: Does T. Rex run?
A: Nope! normally it just speeds up a little.

Q: Why are some herbivores smaller here?
A: In classic retro depictions, herbivores were often tiny and timid, so i kept it for authenticity.

Q: Do they do anything else other than kill, run or roam?
A: Not really, they’re just fun NEXTBOTs, PvP-ready or not, simple.

Q: What are the possession controls?
A: Right and left clicks are attacks, F is a roar key for T. Rex, and CTRL + ALT are back kicks for the Brachiosaurus moveset.

Q: Are these NEXTBOTs meant for open areas or tight spaces?
A: Open areas! Tight spaces make turning tricky, and they’d just end up bumping into everything.
