A Christianity Mod
What this mod does
- Adds the Christian religion (not present at start)
- Adds events to start the rise of Christianity from around 30AD onwards
- Adds a (placeholder) decision to adopt Christianity. For players there few requirements right now but the AI will only take it when their capital is Christian.
This mod does not change the end OR start date. To use this mod either:
- play through past the end date (you can do that but it will take ages to get there)
- modify the start date (not done here because of how much would need to change to make it realistic)
- use the console commands
l6_christian.1
and
l6_christian.2to fire the starting events whenever you want. These are the only events that are based on date so everything else will automatically work.
What is planned
- Improve events to give more authentic spread of Christianity
- Add events for things like Thomas travelling to India, etc
- Make adopting Christianity a multiple stage process, especially for larger empires
- Events for characters in your nation to convert to Christianity when you are not, with options to try and coerce them to abandon their faith
This mod is probably incompatible with any mod that changes the
00_yearly_country.txt
file as I do not know how to add to it without overwriting the vanilla file. If anyone else does know this then any comment saying how would be much appreciated (and if it works I’ll make sure to write some thanks here too).
