JR West series 683
683 series is a limited express train manufactured in 2001 to replace the aging 485 series and to increase the frequency of the Thunderbird express trains.
While it shares some parts with the 681 series, it has been improved to provide a more comfortable ride. It is mainly used as a limited express train connecting the Hokuriku region, including the Thunderbird express train.
