An updated and expanded version of a mod I made in the past. This mod adds multiple variants of Honor Guard / Elite MAA regiments, unlocked through choosing decisions which require certain dynasty legacies. You can only have one type of elite man-at-arms regiment at a time.
This mod also alters the appearance and the stats of the normal House Guard a slight bit, to make them more comparable to other special heavy infantry. The stats of the new units are meant to feel impactful, but not too strong, I would appreciate input on this as well.
Honor Guard: [ Damage = 70, Toughness = 50, Pursuit = 0, Screen = 30, Size = 50 ]
Elite Battlemages: [ Damage = 40, Toughness = 35, Pursuit = 10, Screen = 25, Size = 50 ]
Elite Cavalry: [ Damage = 110, Toughness = 40, Pursuit = 40, Screen = 10, Size = 50 ]
(Cavalry additionally balanced by having strong terrain modifiers) (Mages have 0.2 Siege)
The men-at-arms are balanced by the fact that they have relatively difficult requirements to unlock, you can only have 1 regiment, and their upkeep is pretty high to reflect the fact that they are elite units.
You require Warfare Legacy 4 and some other thing for all of the Elite Regiments. You will see major decisions, and their requirements, once you reach Warfare Legacy 1.
