Nobatia Faction Pack (with new unique Units)
IMPORTANT: It’s a startpos mod, so it’s not compatible with other startpos mod
This mod allows to play as Nobatia and adds some faction bonus and different units to their roster.
The faction
- Desert Kingdom: all the traits from the desert kingdoms group.
- Reduced public order penalty from other religions: -30%
- Missile Units Bonus Experience: +3
- Fatigue Rate: -10%
The units
- Townsfolk: cheap meat shield.
- Desert Horse Archers: horse archers with rapid advance and parthian shot. Good for hit and run tactics.
- Elite Nubian Archers: now they can be recruited from tier 2 infantry buildings.
- Nubian Longbowmen: archers with longbows, excellent range and good missile damage.
- Armoured Nubian Longbowmen: upgrade of Nubian Longbowmen, with a shield, armour and some melee skills.
- Desert Macemen: light shock infantry with maces, good for flanking and charges.
- Roman Frontier Guard: roman legionaries with shield wall and defensive testudo. Very good morale and defensive abilities.
- Nobatian Royal Guard: high tier defensive spearmen, with shield screen and good armour-piercing damage.
- Elephants: unarmoured elephants, good for breaking enemy lines.
- Nobatian Noble Cavalry: medium cavalry with spears, balanced stats and rapid advance.
- Desert Veteran Horse Archers: upgrade of Desert Horse Archers, better stats and more ammunitions.
Possible updates
The faction and the units can be balanced in the future. I’ll test them in my campaigns and if I notice something strange I’ll change their stats/abilities.
