Rossiya transforms Victoria 3’s Russian experience through comprehensive historical localization. Every law, technology, ideology, resource and country name has been transliterated into Russian, immersing you in the world of the Tsarist Empire from the moment you open the game.

✦ Current Features — Stage I Complete

  • Complete Country Renaming — Russia becomes Rossiya, with all dynamic variants fully transliterated including the Soviet Union (Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik), RSFSR, Russian Republic, and the Rossiysko-Amerikanskaya Kompaniya
  • Full Goods & Resources Transliteration — All resources renamed in Russian. Ugol for Coal, Zhelezo for Iron, Vodka for Liquor, Zerno for Grain, Kauchuk for Rubber
  • Historically Authentic Law & Ideology Names — Real Russian terminology throughout. Samoderzhavie for Autocracy, Krepostnoe Pravo for Serfdom, Okhranka for Secret Police, Zemskie Sobory for Crownland Diets
  • Complete Technology Tree Transliteration — All technologies across all research trees renamed. Martenovskaya Pech for Open Hearth Furnace, Zheleznye Dorogi for Railways, Prosveshcheniye for Enlightenment Thought

Stage I — Moskva OblastComplete
Full localization overhaul — all country names, goods, laws, ideologies and technologies transliterated into Russian. Select Russian cities/ports/provinces have been updated as well.

Stage II — Sankt-Peterburg 🏰 In Progress
Tweaking Russia’s starting numbers — treasury, technology costs, building outputs and literacy values

Stage III — Velikiy Novgorod
History files — Russia’s 1836 starting laws, Tsar stats, starting buildings and territorial control

Stage IV — Kazan
Custom events — Decembrist Revolt with multiple outcomes, serf emancipation event chain, conditional Russian events

Stage V — Yekaterinburg
Custom decisions — Pan-Slavism, Trans-Siberian Railway construction with meaningful game effects

Stage VI — Omsk
Modifying existing systems — new Russian nationalist political movement, new production methods, new goods

Stage VII — Irkutsk
New content — Siberian fur trade building, Trans-Siberian Railway technology, new Russian laws, Siberian expansion journal entry

Stage VIII — Vladivostok
The Siberian Republic — a fully custom playable nation with its own history, flag, events and journal entries

✦ Compatibility

Compatible with Victoria 3 version 1.*.* — should work alongside most mods that do not modify localization files.
