Description:

Central Park Mine
Track type: Historic Track

Built in 1972 under the name Atsu Circuit, the 3.3 kilometer track located in Yamaguchi Prefecture was originally a square-ish short track, but as four years went by, it grew as Nishi Nihon Circuit, eventually became the track as it was known come the 90s. With a combination of long start/finish straight and a series of complex corners, Mine was home to Japan’s top fixtures like Formula Nippon and JGTC. In 2006, however, racing activities ceased for good following Mazda’s purchase for developmental purposes, though the layout is still unchanged to this day.
