The Xian JH-7A is a Chinese twin-engine, two-seat fighter-bomber designed for maritime strike and tactical ground-attack missions. Built for speed, payload, and survivability, the JH-7A carries a heavy weapons load—anti-ship missiles, precision-guided bombs, rockets, and a 23mm or 30mm cannon—while its long range and robust airframe let it operate from coastal bases and extended strike corridors. Often employed for anti-surface warfare, suppression of enemy air defenses, and close air support, the JH-7A combines strike flexibility with the ability to deliver stand-off firepower in contested littoral and land theatres.
