KtweaK’s Brighter Moonlight
Brighter Moonlight enhances visibility at night under moonlight.
- Automatically activates during night hours when the moon is visible.
- Two brightness levels: Bright and Brighter.
- Works on any terrain and in the Eden Editor.
- Specific terrains can be excluded. Magic Words allowed.
- Applies color correction effects during moon nights to brighten the scene realistically.
- Adjusts camera aperture for improved visibility without washing out details.
- Includes progressive transitions. Effects fade in/out over 60 seconds to avoid jarring changes.
- Automatically disables during moonless nights.
Server and client side.
Designed for vanilla lighting.
NO PHAT STARS!
If you have KtweaK installed you don’t need this.
Apart from terrain class names, the Exclude Terrains setting supports the word current. Type it in the field and accept the changes, and it will automatically convert to the name of the terrain you are currently playing on.
Example: altis, stratis, current
Q: Will this work with other lighting mods?
A: Maybe. This is tuned for vanilla lighting. It won’t break your game, but it might end up looking too bright at night. Just try it and see for yourself.
Q: Does this really work with any terrain?
A: Yes. And if a terrain has modified lighting it can be easily excluded by typing current in the exclusion list. Some are already excluded or set custom aperture levels by default, but not all terrains have been manually curated.
Q: Does this work in multiplayer?
A: Yes, it’s fully multiplayer compatible. The server controls when effects are applied, but each client renders its own visuals. So, while this feature is server authoritative, clients also need it.
