BDF Strategic Euro One – AB-4
"How the BDF acquired its modest inventory of AB-4s is a mystery even to much of their own command structure. Most believe that a backroom deal was made with an insider at Alkyon, but other theories range from reverse engineered copies made from stolen design documents to special forces teams airlifting them out with Tarantulas from a relatively unguarded airbase on transit to Agrapol, Whatever the case, the BDF has not made any official statements and their acknowledgement of the craft has been minimal. As the BDF strategic bomber fleet heavily relies on stand-off tactics, most bombers are left in simple single or 2-tone schemes, but the AB-4s role as a low-level penetration bomber has necessitated the adoption of a proper camouflage pattern. While the current pattern was under development, some airframes sported this Cold War era camo as a stop-gap, and at least one example has been left in this livery for unknown reasons."
