Vargen Race Redux (v70)
An updated, lite version of the excellent Vargen race mod.
Contains fixes for v70 and edited portraits to better match vanilla’s art style.
1️⃣ LITE VERSION + v70 FIXES
⭐️ The original mod’s new resource, gear, and workshop room have been removed, and the race stats updated to reflect this.
⭐️ The new monument, shrine, temple, and nursery are still present.
⭐️ Fixed overworld sprite files pointing to the wrong race.
⭐️ Reduced chance of Java heap crash on large mod lists.
2️⃣ PORTRAIT ART EDITS
⭐️ Edits made to the Vargen race portraits that appear in the bio panel. Includes all face variants, as well as hair, eyes, and ear addons.
⭐️ Normal maps have been added to every portrait sprite (they previously had no normals).
⭐️ Noise added to flat-looking areas, lighting made more detailed, smoother transition between outline/strokes and fill color, etc.
⭐️ Fixed spritesheet grid issues, fixed blue line showing on portraits with no hair.
* Example images have downgraded quality due to image upscaling for upload to Steam workshop; grainy edges and other flaws aren’t visible in the actual game.
1. Subscribe to this mod. Give the OG mod a thumbs-up.
2. Don’t sub to the OG mod, this is a replacer.
•️ Fix minor black seams present on some hair and ear combos; touch-up stray pixels around certain faces.
•️ Adjust race stats to balance losing access to their unique resource/gear. Done
•️ Edit the Vargen crown (currently untouched).
