Script SC51 Station shift swap
This very simple script allows two trains to swap shifts at station, letting earlier shift depart first.
• Key features:
° Shifts can be swapped to ensure on-time departure
° Swap occurs if later train (at the back of platform) has earlier departure
° Swap occurs 30s before earliest departure
° If back train is late, it will be intervened without swap
° Trains must be on the same platform (with a departure signal)
° Can be limited to lines with a defined tag
• Use cases:
° Two-trams/trains on one platform: ensure earlier departure on-time
Typically useful for a terminus with limited tracks
° Can use with a stacked depot where trains retain shifts
• IMPORTANT: Both trains must be approved for both shifts
° Use a tag if non-approved trains can be on the platform
• How it works:
° Set a marker where a train will stop in the back position. Link to the departure signal.
Back train’s shift will be assigned to front train 30s before departure
Front train’s shift will be assigned to back train after front train leaves.
