Meritocratic Imperial Examination – Updated Fix
This is an unofficial updated and fixed version of Meritocratic Imperial Examination.
The original mod expanded and rebalanced the Meritocratic government and Capital / Imperial Examination systems for East Asian-style playthroughs. This version keeps the same design goal while updating the mod for the current CK3 version and fixing several issues caused by outdated vanilla overrides.
Main Features
- Merit Limit Restriction Lifted
Meritocratic realms can progress beyond the old 5th Rank limit, allowing broader recruitment and appointment based on merit. - Capital / Imperial Examination for Meritocratic Rulers
Independent Meritocratic rulers can host the Capital / Imperial Examination activity. - Balanced Examination Participation
Characters must belong to the host ruler’s realm to participate, preventing outside characters from traveling in only to take the exam. - Expanded Host Requirements
Independent Celestial, Meritocratic, and Meritocratic Khaganate rulers with a kingdom-tier title or higher can host the examination.
Fixes in This Version
- Updated the mod for CK3 1.19.*
- Fixed the Accolade / Honored Knight system being locked or unavailable for affected governments.
- Restored current vanilla government settings required for Accolades.
- Rebased outdated TGP decision overrides on the current vanilla files.
- Fixed the “Command Family to Attend Exams” decision so the highest liege’s family is no longer excluded.
- Removed duplicate decision definitions that could cause load-order or override issues.
- Fixed minor Workshop description formatting issues.
